Long serving WHYFC coach Craig Johnson has taken on a new role with the club entering the fall, 2020 season. Johnson will take his USSF ‘A’ License, his 20+ years of experience as a coach, and his passion for the players, the sport, and the club, into the new role of WHYFC Team Advisor.
Kyle has spent 2+ years with the club and has created a trust among the staff and become someone that understands the club, the standards, and the goals. He has done great work with his teams and has displayed the organizational and people/player management needed to have success in the position. Link below for full release.

The last two years has seen significant progress for the WHYFC girls program. The catalyst of this progress is the club's admission into the ECNL in 2018.
Now the club will expand its ECNL programming even further with the addition of the ECNL Regional League. WILMINGTON, NC 5/1/2019 - The YMCA of Southeastern NC and the Wilmington Hammerheads have partnered to serve even more kids and families through recreational soccer. This new partnership brings together two of the largest youth soccer providers in the region. Both organizations currently serve more than 2,000 youth athletes annually ranging from 3 to 18 years.
